Christy Walowit MS, RDN
Christy (they/she) is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in nutrition care for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, sports nutrition, and plant-based diets.
Christy became passionate about intuitive eating and weight-neutral approaches to health while studying their Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science at California State University, Chico. Christy has been involved in advocacy for underserved communities for many years and conducted gender-affirming nutrition care research while completing their Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Christy lived in Hong Kong for several years and speaks conversational-level Cantonese. She is familiar with the challenges of language barriers and enjoys supporting patients who are navigating new healthcare environments. Christy firmly believes in the importance of culturally-inclusive health care and utilizes an approach that includes and celebrates cultural foods and traditions.
Christy is passionate about helping patients develop a healthy relationship with food and offers a safe and non-judgemental space for people holding various identities and experiences. Christy has experience working with a variety of health conditions including disordered eating, eating disorders, developmental disabilities, diabetes and pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and more! Outside of nutrition counseling, Christy enjoys playing viola, trail running, and befriending cats!
