Sarah Firebaugh RDN
Sarah (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist dedicated to helping individuals cultivate a healthier relationship with food. While she specializes in disordered eating, she also provides nutrition therapy for a wide range of disease states using gentle nutrition and a weight-neutral approach.
Sarah's passion for nutrition developed during her studies at San Diego State University, where she earned a degree in Foods and Nutrition and gained experience as a Diet Tech at an eating disorder treatment center. She completed her dietetic internship at Utah State University, where she worked in diverse nutrition settings, including inpatient hospital care, eating disorder treatment, food bank programs, community initiatives through WIC, and adolescent school nutrition.
Sarah is committed to providing compassionate, non-judgmental care that supports sustainable behavioral change and overall well-being. Her professional experience includes working with both adolescent and adult populations at various levels of care, including residential, PHP, and IOP eating disorder programs at Center for Discovery Eating Disorder Treatment. In addition, she has worked with individuals managing chronic conditions, offering guidance that prioritizes nourishment and health without a focus on weight. She has also volunteered with clinical nutrition programs and local food pantries, reinforcing her dedication to community wellness.
Currently residing in San Francisco and originally from the East Bay, Sarah enjoys exploring the city’s parks and beaches, trying new restaurants, reading, and engaging with nutrition-related blogs and social media. Outside of work, she values spending time with friends and family and loves sharing her passion for cooking and baking.
